Summer Hits galore

Summer is the time of year for sultry evenings on the beach with a stunning lady or tanned muscular god. Dancing cheek to cheek in a club trying to move just as smooth as in the video of Lambada, or thinking you’re Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing. Unfortunately most of us lack the talent, but what remains is the memory.

In that memory for most of us each summer has a hit. May it be The Twist by Chubby Checker, In The Summertime by Mungo Jerry, Una Paloma Blanca by George Baker, Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go by Wham!, or more recent hits like Mambo No. 5 by Lou Bega and Despacito by Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee. We all dream away at the thought of that one evening at that special place. Maybe even with the, at least in that moment, love of your life.

Lucky for us, each summer we are treated to radio stations devoting airtime to the ultimate summer hits list, or shows interact with listeners asking them for their all time favorite hit. Online there even entire digital radio stations devoted to catchy summer tunes with recognisable hooks and, most of the times, iconic dance moves. Who doesn’t remember Las Ketchup or Los del Rio?

Spotify is your friend
